Hope you all are having a good Friday! (Or Saturday, depending on timezone) I just wanted to make a quick and loose post to let y'all know that I've been on the next update for Advent NEON, but won't be patching the game for some time (i.e. months) because of it. I still wanted to both break any radio silence and warn you that there's going to be a bit more, but that doesn't mean nothing is happening.
Won't be anything too crazy since I'm going at my own pace here (which is consistent, instead of losing sleep during the months of finalizing and playtesting before launch), but this should finally be the content update that I previously promised. I'm intentionally leaving out specifics and dates so that I can focus on making it, knowing that everything that isn't already made is subject to change.
I will say that the biggest priority for it has already been made and possibly could be worth its own update, so that if everything else about my plans fall through, there is at least one entirely new thing to look forward to!
In the meantime, bugs and other issues should still be reported in the community forum, as I do check there and try to recreate issues. That doesn't guarantee everything reported there will be fixed, but I am paying attention and do make efforts regardless. The least feasibly fixable of those issues are: issues caused by playing through mac or linux since they lack support, issues caused by hardware such as PS controller touchpads registering random inputs (this is an issue that can persist across multiple games) or switch controllers tweaking out without steam input (nintendo's fault), the game itself saving improperly for some players (sometimes because of firewall/antivirus) and save files being unable to be deleted for many others (likely a problem with how the entire save system is made in tandem with steam cloud, risky to even attempt to change the save system to fix it).
Also, Advent NEON should be a part of a couple of sales events this month. However, since discounts can only last for 14 days maximum, the next discount won't cover the full duration of both events and will go from February 13th to the 27th.
Finally in terms of merch and the next move for plush campaigns, I've been observing other services that creators use, as many of them are much newer with far more forgiving requirements, but I need to make sure those services follow all the way through for their successful campaigns before I contact any of them. Would be a massive drag for everyone if I had to take responsibility for a 3rd party service turning out to fall through.
Anyway that's all I've got for now, hopefully this touches on most things people have been wondering about! Hope you all have a nice day and thanks for reading!
