Hello Entodrive players!
Here's what I've been working on for this update :
Music :
I have replaced about half of the game's soundtrack with new music. Most of the new music was made by Liam Bradbury from his Complete RPG Chiptunes Pack. Special thank you to him for providing new music for the game.
Battle Animations
Monster animations are no longer just idle loops on the battle screen. Player & Enemy monsters will now display hit and attack animations. I may improve on this in the future with physical/special/status attack anim variants. Making these animation changes I actually cut about 3.5 seconds of mandatory time while in battle. I also changed it so that you can select a move by double clicking instead of using the confirm button in battle. Battles should be quicker and more responsive now.
Momentum Changes
To prevent falling down slopes, I've applied more static friction to the base player movement. To coincide with this I've also changed it so you can only move in one direction at a time. Before you could apply force in two directions doubling your speed, which caused glitches and exploits.
Bug Fixes
Set a limit to how far the player can fall, so it will now reroute out of bounds players to the nearest map on that level. I fixed a crash when Entodrive report cards are read instantly when just loading a level. Fixed a crash when following Entodrive aren't spawned on a nav mesh.
Steam Guide NPCS
I've added Steam Guide helper NPCs around Cache Isle that give you hints about the game and resources to help you. They will also be present around areas that have seasonal events so you can know what time of the year to come back and where.
