The High Country Hootenanny Tournament kicked off last week. We found a bug affecting a couple shooters early on, and addressed it on launch night. After squashing that bug, scores have been rolling in and we're having lots of fun, and hope you are too. The tournament runs until the 30th, so get in there and log a score!
Pro Tips for tournament play:
- Two of the courses can be run outside the tournament, get some practice
- Be sure to walk the new course so that you can form a strategy before hitting start
- You may want to adjust your loadout depending on the course you're running
Now that there's a framework, we're talking internally about the next tournament. Hop in the Discord and let us know what's working for you and what should change. More courses? More attempts? Single gun stages? Make your voice heard.
We're working hard to bring more courses to the Rocky Mountain scene. We haven't heard much feedback on this yet, so again, hop in the Discord and let us know what you think. Are you getting good framerates? Are you seeing any other issues? Is it fun? We need to hear from you.
We've identified a bug with the red dot causing it to render wrong. We'll have a potential fix in this week's update.
Also coming this week, the Bertino 2011. It's pretty HOT! Check out this HQ render @WB-Darrin made...
Finally, we've begun work on defining a level file format. This is part of the groundwork being laid for a course editor. The course editor is still a longer term effort, but it is underway.
Thanks,
