We know why you're here, so let's focus on the video first, and we'll do the explaining after (oh, and please turn up your volume a bit).
Woohoo! We hope you enjoyed that! While we have some experience in building multiplayer games, this is the first time we've done something as extensive as From Space. The final game features 1-4 player multiplayer, but for this first video we decided to demonstrate a 2-player session, because adding more players would be a bit more difficult to properly direct.
Here's a couple of things we hope you've picked up on;
Teamplay - Exploring environments is important in From Space, finding weapons, upgrades, ammo and much more is an ongoing objective for all players and we encourage players to work together in doing so.
Explosive gameplay - Some destructible objects can be used as a tactic to deal massive damage to a whole group of enemies at once. Trigger an explosion at just the right time and watch those pink bullies fly all over the place.
Indoor scenes - Players can seamlessly move from outside environments to indoors, changing the camera perspective slightly. The action gets even more intense when things start to explode in these narrow corridors.
Even though it hasn't been that long since the team reached this milestone, we've already moved on and are now working towards a (up to four player) Multiplayer Demo that we'll release during Steam Next Fest! As the event is already around the corner, every day counts and we're working tirelessly to give you the best possible impression of what we want to achieve with From Space.
If you want to help out, there's a couple of things you can do;
- Help build hype, tell your friends about From Space
- Wishlist us on Steam, if you haven't done so already
- Follow us on Twitter, Instagram or Tiktok
