As we get ever closer to the launch of War Robots: Frontiers on March 4, we want to take a moment to thank our Early Access players for their invaluable support, feedback, and loyalty over the past two years. We could not have done this without you!
You played a unique role in shaping the game’s journey and making it what it is today, from participating in playtests, to asking questions in Dev Q&A sessions, to creating content and forming your own communities based around War Robots: Frontiers. We can’t thank you enough for your continued support!
Before War Robots: Frontiers launches on March 4, we have some housekeeping to do. Check out all the details on maintenance, the end of Early Access, and progress wipes towards the end of the article.
Past & Present: Your Feedback, Your Playtime, Your Changes
Over the course of Early Access, the team has been hard at work improving the mechanics of the game and balancing gameplay, to the betterment of the overall player experience.
These are just some of the changes and improvements we've made thanks to your support and feedback:
UI/UX Overhauls
We’ve redesigned the Hangar and Workshop to make it easy and intuitive to construct War Robots and optimize your Drop Team for battle. We hope players enjoy making and trying out lots of unique builds. The UI/UX team also deployed a large update in January to improve the clarity, usability, and intuitiveness of interfaces, features, and the overall player experience. We are still actively listening to feedback from players and will pay close attention to this part of the game, adjusting it if necessary.
“We’re grateful for how our team worked together to rework the entire user interface, introducing a fresh new style and making meaningful improvements to the Robot construction experience,” says Parisa Zhong, UI/UX Director for War Robots: Frontiers.
Reworked Map Layouts & Visuals
A thrilling tactical experience is at the heart of what we’re trying to deliver with War Robots: Frontiers. Thanks to the help of our intrepid Early Access Pilots, we identified and developed opportunities and metas to ensure every battle is unique, fair, and rich with tactical possibilities.
Improved Robot Movement & Animations
We want Pilots to feel the weight and mechanical power of War Robots at their fingertips. Early Access gave us the time and feedback we needed to finetune the look and feel of piloting for maximum immersion.
New Social Features
Coordinating with your team in War Robots: Frontiers is critical and could make all the difference between victory and defeat. The addition of Friend Lists, voice chat, and in-battle pings broadens your ability to communicate, put together a team, and work on your tactics on the fly. We can’t wait to see your squads in action!
There’s so much more that we can barely cover it all, from balancing updates to all the new content and weapons you’ll see in the release version! What’s your favorite addition or improvement to War Robots: Frontiers so far? Let us know on Discord, because your feedback will continue to shape the game in the future, too!
Since day one of Early Access, you, the players have been the driving force behind every change you’ll see when War Robots: Frontiers officially launches. Each Dev Q&A gave us invaluable insight into areas we needed to improve. Your passion is what fueled us throughout Early Access, and we could not be more grateful for the dedication and support you've shared with us. We hope we’ve created the game you so rightfully deserve. Thank you!

You have influenced the development of War Robots: Frontiers much more than you can imagine. You are not guinea pigs or alpha testers—no. You are developers, just as we are. I was stunned by the level of detail in your proposals, influencing the design of the game. You understand the game so deeply that sometimes there were no edits or corrections needed on your proposals—they went into production straight away. You always provided a reality check when we needed it, and helped us to focus on the most important aspects of the game. Above all, I want to thank your immense level of creativity, which always inspired us. We are building a great game together. Thank you.

It’s been an amazing experience getting to know this community over the last two years, getting sniped the second I spawn, losing every 1v1, and watching my entire Hangar vanish before I can even summon my Titan. But seriously, you’ve been incredible. Your passion and feedback have shaped War Robots: Frontiers into what it is today. Early Access was just the proving ground. Now, the real fun starts, and I can’t wait! See you on the Wild Ten, Pilots!

From the very beginning, our goal has been to create an experience that feels intuitive, immersive, and truly rewarding. Your feedback and support during early access has been invaluable in shaping the game, refining every detail, and making it even better. On behalf of the entire UX/UI team, thank you for being part of this journey. We can’t wait for you to see what’s next!

Even the most talented designer can't make good content without its players, and our players are so loyal and knowledgeable on literally everything, from the feeling of weapons' impact to how wide the specific passages should be to enable more tactical gameplay. Kudos to everyone who's been supporting us during Early Access—we wouldn't be here without you.

Throughout Early Access, your passion has been our fuel! Your insights and creativity have shaped every facet of War Robots: Frontiers, and you're the reason we do what we do. As we gear up for launch, your influence will help us spread the word and grow our community. Let's keep rocking this together!

We’re grateful for all the feedback and your active interest in the game—it greatly helped us fine-tune the progression! We put great effort into making the in-game economy enjoyable for our players, and we’ll keep listening to your discussions in Discord!

Seeing the War Robots: Frontiers community come together and enjoy the game, as well as provide invaluable and extensive feedback has been incredible to see during the Early Access period. I cannot wait to see the interesting ideas and concepts that the community comes up with next. Catch you on the Wild Ten!

Over the last two years, our game has changed so much, and we’ve been on this journey together with the players. When newcomers experience the maps and customization from the start, only the Early Access players will remember how different the game once was—and it was your feedback that led to many changes and improvements. We look forward to players continuing to explore the game, discover new things, and share ideas with the developers—that’s essential to making the game even better!

A heartfelt thank you to each of you—to everyone who stayed connected with us on Discord, wrote reviews on Steam, filled out surveys, and participated in interviews. Thanks to those who were with us every day and those who joined during open days. Your interest in the game has brought us here, to the launch. We’re getting ready to welcome new players, but you will always be a special part of our community. And yes, we’re already planning many activities, diverse rewards, and future events!
