Hello, guys! Today, is the 155th birthday anniversary of The Honourable Marshal of Finland Baron
Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. More than anybody else he can truly be called the father of Free Finland. He fought 4 wars to make sure Finland gained and preserved its independence.
At Starni Games we are working hard on the Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty game - a turn based strategy about Finland in WW2 that covers 1939-1945, and includes all three wars it took part in: the Winter War, the Continuation War and the Lapland War. We hope that on Mannerheim's next birthday you will be able to honour his memory by playing the game with him as one of the key characters.
Mannerheim's 3D model is still in the works, but we already have a small 2D image that represents him during the in-game messages:
Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim
We also want to share other historical personalities from the Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty that await 3D models for cinematics and HQ room, but already have 2D pictures drawn. Please, let us know what you think about our 2D art:
Aksel Airo
Lennart Oesch
Paavo Talvela
Risto Ryti
We will keep you updated on our progress, and will show the 3D models of the key characters as soon as they are ready.
