Hi all!
the new version of Argil is out there!
Thank you, our community, for the ongoing feedback, both on Steam page and on Discord (don't forget to join Discord here). We listen to our users and try to improve the functionality regularly and fix the bugs as quickly as possible.
We have put into this update:
- Brand New Draw brushes. You can now freely draw in the air! and create long windy meshes (perfect for hair, limbs, fingers etc). Two brushes “single draw” and “continuous draw”. Continuous draw adds the drawn object to the previous one (combines them), so that you would have a single entity that you can afterwards manipulate as a one object.
- We know that some of you really liked the resolution brush, so we decided to improve it even more. We have increased the speed of resolution brush: around 3 times for the increasing resolution, and 10 times for decreasing resolution
- Easier selection and movement of the objects. We have heard that it was sometimes a bit tricky to move the objects around, now it's much easier. More natural way of grabbing them, additional raycast to choose the objects
- Undo / Redo can now be called with the menu buttons on the right / left hand, respectively.
- Added new sample 3D models (dummy face, man)
- Fixed multiple bugs
- - Filebrowser is not being stuck
- - Fixed the annoying lock of the Auto-Save pop-up
- - Remove multiple click
- - Remove colliders when undoing or deleting
- - Grabbing 3rd view camera
This mid 20th century man wishes you all the best with using Argil

For now, this is all. In addition, two things we really would love to add are:
- merging several meshes into one,
- increasing the vertex limit beyond 65K vertices.
Yours,
Team Argil
