Hey everyone! Long time no see :D
The week has passed, and as announced…
The first expansion for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is out RIGHT NOW on PC and consoles!
Since our 1.0 release in May, we’ve been working a lot on ongoing patches, fixes, optimizations, and general improvements across all platforms - and this work will continue, as there are still things we can do better. But our “content” part of the team was focusing on this expansion, and we are extremely proud of their work! It is also important to highlight the input of our amazing beta testers, providing valuable feedback, reporting bugs, and doing all the other important stuff to help us deliver the best quality of Tainted Grail possible. To our playtesters, to everyone who played the game, to content creators and media - a huge THANK YOU for appreciating our work, spreading the word, and helping the game thrive!
This expansion is our biggest post-release milestone so far, and we can’t wait for you to dive in (pun intended) and explore the Sanctuary. Watch the release trailer to see what’s coming!
We have shared advanced access to some of the content creators, and the first videos are in! You can see them below, along with some highlight quotations:
And just in case you’ve never heard about the Sanctuary of Sarras, this is our first full-fledged expansion for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, with a completely new storyline, a new zone to explore and 10-15 hours worth of new content!
You will enter the titular sanctuary, a realm shaped by the deep sea, full of ancient structures and naval creatures. Follow the trail of Nimue and the deserters who challenged King Arthur. Piece together the truth behind their disappearance and Merlin’s horrible retribution.
The expansion offers a lot of new additions, such as 4 boss fights, 12 regular enemies, over 20 dungeons and interiors, as well as more than 100 items, including armor, melee weapons, bows, rings, amulets, spells, relics, and more. Explore carefully to find them all!
To fulfill our most sacred tradition, enjoy a batch of fresh Sanctuary of Sarras screenshots!
Now, a quick guide on how to enter the Sanctuary of Sarras
You have to have the expansion purchased.
You must have Cuanacht (act 2) unlocked.
You need to watch the cutscene that plays when entering Cuanacht city (the awakening in Yvain Mansion).
Place a campfire (Q) and talk to Black Annis. She should give you the quest that leads to the Sarras Chapel dungeon in Cuanacht.
Track the quest and go to the entrance of Sarras Chapel in southern Cuanacht, near the water. Below are screenshots of this place on the map, as well as the entrance itself. It’s very near to the Horns of the South entrance.
6. The dungeon quest will guide you into the new region: Sarras.

In the meantime, we’ll still be on high alert for any possible bugs and fixing them ASAP, as well as implementing any needed improvements to the game. Keep your feedback coming, and join our Discord to stay updated on our work!
Important message for console players!
To end with, we have some good news for Xbox & PlayStation players: with today’s update, we managed to significantly reduce the frequency of crashes on both consoles. We’re also working on another fix that should slightly improve FPS on consoles, and will hopefully be ready in January!
Cheers, and thank you for being with us!
