Greetings, Survivors
As you know, some time ago, we added the terrain elevation to the game. But did you know that you can also edit the terrain elevation in the game's Map Editor? We are gradually improving the tool and are extremely curious about the results that you can achieve. Join our Map Challenge and show us your creativity!
Map Challenge
The rules are simple - we will rate your Creativity and the skill when using the Map Editor. You can create whatever map you want. The most realistic city. Or the opposite - a completely fantastical landscape. Huge castle, an impenetrable prison, maybe something out of your favorite TV Show? Regardless of your vision, we want to see your creativity!
Want to know more? Full rules of the contest can be found here: Official Rules: “Infection Free Zone – Map Contest”. Remember, only the entries uploaded to the Steam Workshop and sent to us via e-mail [email protected] will participate in this contest. Below you can find an example of the Map submitted as a Workshop Item.
Rewards
Create the best Map with Map Editor and submit it to the Contest before August 27, 2025, to have a chance of winning a Steam Key to any game from the Games Operators portfolio and eternal respect and bragging rights in the Infection Free Zone community. The 5 selected winners will be showcased in the next Announcement.
Map Editor Manual
If you haven't used the Map Editor in the past, we encourage you to check the Map Editor - Manual in our Guide section first. The tool might be a bit confusing at the beginning, so we hope that this guide will show you the ropes and explain the parts that may seem the most complicated. Good luck and have fun! We keep our fingers crossed for your entries!
29.08.2025 - Map Contest Results
After launching the Map Contest, we have received a lot of feedback that the Map Editor is difficult to use and causes issues for players. This sentiment has also been reflected in the number of participants. We have received only one submission, and it didn't work due to an incorrect configuration. It's a clear sign for us that we need to improve the Map Editor further.
If you tried participating in the Map Contest, but weren't able to create your own map - for any reason - please submit your feedback via this Survey. We will analyze your responses and see how we can improve the Map Editor tool further to make it easier to use.
Best regards,
Jutsu Games Team
