This update more than doubles the original content of the game by adding 35 new, untimed and single-player levels constructed of mostly new cards not seen in the original game. The new untimed levels follow a new format with the addition of special starred, lock, and key letter tiles.
Star, Lock, & Key Letter Tiles:
The untimed content features starred tiles and lock and key tiles. These tiles, marked with a star(*), lock, or key symbol in the upper left, must be cleared from the tile grid (by using them in word submissions) as a condition for passing the level. Lock and Key tiles of the same color must be used in the same word submission for the submission to be valid.
New Cards:
Over 150 new cards have been added to the game. The list of new and notable types of cards is below:
- 65 new Category cards.
- Replace Tiles (Action Card) - replaces 5 random letter tiles in the game with new values.
- Add Vowels (Action Card) - Adds a row of vowel letter tiles "A", "I", "O", and "U" to tile grid.
- Add Lock & Key (Action Card) - Adds a pair of Lock & Key letter tiles to tile grid.
- Contains Letters XX - These cards require finding words that contain a specific pattern of letters.
- Starts With / Ends With - Require spelling words that start with and end with the specified letters.
- Noun, Verb, Adverb, or Adjective - Require spelling words that are nouns, verbs, adverbs, or adjectives.
- Swipe Only - Require submitting words by swiping letter tiles only (i.e. click-and-dragging cursor to connect adjacent tiles).
- Combo - Some new cards combine multiple conditions (Starts With, Ends With, Verb, Noun, 4-Letter, Swipe, etc.).
Bug Fixes & Improvements:
- Fixed/improved randomness of tiles generated in tile grid.
- Game will now end when all point cards have been earned. Before, the game only ended when both all point cards were earned and action cards were exhausted.
- Replaced sounds for accepted word submissions and earning cards with background-noise-reduced versions.
- Beat Best Score bonus objective is hidden from Bonus Objectives in in-game slide-out menu if the players best score is zero.
- Card artwork now resizes according to size of title text of the card.
- Fixed typo ("geometic" to "geometric") in tooltip description for Shape category card.
- Changed name of Territory geography category card to Area.
- Updated and improved card artwork for Accessory, Appliance, Candy, Country, Clothing, Geography, US State, and Vehicle category cards.
