I thought it would be nice to talk about the inventory system in our third -About CRT- blog post so here we go.
Most of the customer services in CRT need supplies to function. So lots of customers mean high supply-demand.
Usage
Some of the inventory item consumers are:
- Kitchens, Bars, Cafes: Once you add a new menu item to your menus people will start to order it. But every menu item needs different ingredients to be made by your staff. To give an example; a Cosmopolitan cocktail needs vodka, fruit juice, lemon to be made by a bartender, or a Macchiato coffee needs coffee beans and milk to be made by a barista.
- Vending Machines: There are cigarette, beverage, coffee, snack vending machines you can place around the hotel in CRT. But for an item to be sold, it should be available in storage rooms.
- Hotel Rooms: Some of the customers will stay in your hotel if you have hotel rooms. After they leave the hotel room, janitors and housekeepers will start the cleaning process. And they will need surface cleaners and laundry detergents to do so.
- Maintenance Offices: Maintenance officers need tools to repair items around the hotel.
- Souvenir Shops: If you want to sell items in your souvenir shop you will need to buy them first.
- Massage Rooms: Massage therapists consume massage oil for every customer they serve.
It will be too long if I go through every inventory item consumer here but this is the general logic of the usage of supplies. So when you expand the services of your casino hotel it will increase the consumption of supplies.
Delivery
Inventory items that are bought will be delivered at 6 am every morning. Delivery persons will carry items to your storage rooms and place them on your shelves and fridges. Like builders, delivery persons are not one of your employees too so they will deliver items and leave. If you buy items or give auto-buy order after 6 am it will be delivered the next morning.
Storage
Some inventory items like fish, butter need fridges to be stored and others can be placed on a regular storage shelf. So after you assign a room as a storage room checking your hotel's order history and inventory item consumption is useful to decide what storage item to place.
