Hello!
Today we will continue to talk about the build/design mechanics of the game. After these, we are going to go deep into management mechanics.
If you want to be a five-star casino hotel, decoration and lighting are two of the many necessary pieces.
But before explaining how decoration and lighting values change, I want to talk about tiles.

Tiles
In CRT; buildings contain floors, floors contain rooms, and rooms contain tiles. And these tiles hold some values like decoration, lighting, security, cleanliness.
Every tile affects the neighboring tiles if they are in the same room space. But if the neighbor tiles are separated by an interior wall, their values won't affect each other.
So when it comes to the casino hotel's total scores of decoration and lighting; It is an average of all of the room's scores, and the room's score is the average of the tiles it contains.

Decoration and lighting values change around the map by items and building improvements that are placed.
Building Improvements
When a wall is built, it's just concrete so it decreases the decoration of the room. Wallpapers look cool but they are also needed to make up for that.
Windows and curtains can also be used while designing a room. Windows will increase both the decoration and lighting of the room. Curtains will increase decoration even more but it will decrease some of the lighting value of the tile.

Items
There are lots of item types in CRT so we can't go through all of them here but to give some examples;
There are some obvious decoration increasers like statues, plants, paintings; and obvious lighting increasers like ceiling lamps, floor lamps.
But a slot machine or an aquarium will increase the lighting value of a tile too.
Every item type also has different versions of them but the values are the same between versions, so you can use the one looks good for your taste.

Item types like a sewage pump or a toilet cabin are necessary of course but they will decrease decoration moderately.
I don't want to make the posts too long to read but I hope this cleared some things about decoration and lighting.
I wish everyone a great day and hope to see you at the next post!
