In both cases, preordering Substance Painter 2021 will get you immediate access to the latest 2020 version until 2021 is released, if you don't already own it.
For those of you who own a standalone version of Substance Painter and want to switch to Steam, please contact us at [email protected] and we will provide you with a Steam key corresponding to your standalone license so that you can benefit from the loyalty discount of 53% off.
Please also note that linking a Steam license to a Substance3d.com account to download a standalone version will still be possible until February 2021, after which this option will be discontinued.
