ITS SPOOKY SEASON Y'ALL
We are finally ready to reveal our next character:
When it came to designing Plum, we wanted a character that was very different from Blue and Carmine. Not only in the way Plum plays, but also in personality and appearance.
Plum is the bubbliest personality in Chenso Club with a morbid fascination for witchcraft. Her magical powers come from the broom she carries with her. The broom got imbued with a powerful alien life force when Plum was exercising her witchcraft in the clock tower, and she managed to smack the lights out of one of them with the broom. Before this incident, she didn't have any magical powers at all and saw herself more of a witchcraft hobbyist. Now, she's convinced she was always magical.. so.. nobody tell her, ok?
As for her moveset, we really wanted Plum to feel powerful when facing large hordes of aliens (you'll quickly realize she's a great pick for the clock tower stage!). Her special attacks are some of the strongest attacks in all of Chenso Club. The trade-off is that you need to charge her up before you can access her special attacks. You do so by attacking enemies with your broom (the lighter attacks), and once you've hit enemies 3 times the little eye icon above Plum will flash red. This indicates that she's fully charged up and you can now perform a special attack.
--Attack List--
Light attacks: Quick broom swipes that don't deal much damage, but perfect to keep enemies at bay while charging up!
Up special: Launch yourself upwards like an arrow, dealing damage to enemies in your path. Once you reach the top, Plum swings open a pair of magical wings that deal a lot of damage.
Down special: Summons a spike ball that deals damage to enemies that collides with it. You can punch this ball into enemies as well, and use it as a secondary way of charging up your special meter.
Neutral special: Summons a spirit that curses enemies it touches. To trigger the curse, perform the attack again and the enemy will explode.
Float: By holding the jump button, Plum will slowly float downwards. Perfect for players who want more air control.
