Happy Chinese New Year!
This week, we added 5 brand-new side stories, adjusted and balanced 14 neutral cards, some relics, event choices, and bug fixes.
New side stories are now available for Wukong, Holy Monk, and Swine King, and more are coming!
The game is also on Taptap International (Android) and Aifadian (iOS and Android Beta testing), please pick your favorite platforms!
We added two new side stories for Wukong：
- Prison Break - this was when the Monkey King was captured and sealed in the Furnace of Heaven. The Monkey King must defeat the High Taoist God and beak the Furnace within seven turns to survive.
- Book of Death - In his early days as Monkey King, Wukong went to Hell and stole the Book of Death to protect his kin from death.
We adjusted the initial deck, relic, and consumables for “Kill the Skeleton Queen within three turns” and “Desert Kings,” aiming for a better user experience.
We added a new side story, “The Final Trial ”, for Holy Monk.
In the novel Journey to the West, the team finally arrives in Soul Mountains after finishing 80 challenges. However, to complete the journey, they now have one final trial left, making “81” challenges - the ideal number in Buddhist Mantra.
We adjusted the initial deck, relic, and consumables for “The New Story of Lady White” and “Travel with Death.
For White Dragon, we adjusted the initial deck, relic, and consumables for both “The Lantern Festival” and “Furious Dragons.”
Two new side stories for Swine King:
- At the Spring of Nine Suns - in the Journey to the West, Swine King wants to join the spider sister at the Spring of Nine Suns but ends up in a fight.
- The Bull King Family is a story inspired by Swine King’s inspiration to seek true love. He helps Jade Princess to seek an answer from the Bull King Family.
Balance and Enhancement
We adjusted 14 neutral cards to improve the balance of the game.
We added an option (randomly appearing as one of four options) in the initial event - Stop 5 Cards from Appearing. Once selected, you can choose up to 5 cards from the Hero’s deck (75 possible cards that belong to this Hero) and ban them from this game.
[Note: this change might cause some old saves to expire. If you wish to continue with the old save, please switch to the version on 2023-01-12 and finish the game before updating.]
Other Balances
- Bottle of Light and Shadow does not give Apparition.
- don't show the tooltip if text is empty.
- move dialog in combat if out of the screen.
Bug Fixes
- Potential bug fix when playing a card after consumable use.
- Fix exceptions when provoking NPC without intent.
- Transmutation card will change name after copying a target.
