We marched through March, implementing updates to improve your gaming experience. From intuitive UI improvements to strategic tools, let’s explore the latest enhancements from our dev forge.
TLDR: This March, we’ve refined the UI, introduced a new Stand menu, added a click-to-move feature for stands, expanded tooltips, launched the Pricing Survey, progressed on localization, and more!
UI Improvements 📐
For strategy games, simplifying a complex User Interface (UI) is essential to providing a memorable gaming experience. As a result, we have meticulously refined the alignment and layout of key UI elements within the Ordering, Pricing, Inventory, and Recipe sections.
Also, we carried out comprehensive content reviews aimed at enhancing accessibility for a wider audience. We believe these improvements not only raise the visual and aesthetic coherence of the game but also significantly augment its overall usability.
New Menu for Stands 🚚
To enhance the efficiency of managing food trucks, we've introduced a new Stand menu, accessible directly from the environment view. This feature provides rapid access to all critical functions related to managing your stands.
It also offers a forward-looking view by displaying the inventory available for sale the following day. Hopefully, the menu will help more players save time, allowing more focus on strategic decisions and less on interface navigation.
Move View for Empty Spots 📍
In the spirit of 'more time on strategy and less on navigation,' we also added a feature that allows players to move to an empty spot by clicking it. Previously, Stands could only be moved by clicking on them or using the move function on the User Interface. Now, players can start the stand movement process by clicking on an empty spot in the environment.
More Tooltip Implementations💡
Recognizing the necessity for greater transparency in our game's mechanics, we have expanded the tooltip feature across critical areas such as vehicle upgrades, customer feedback, and recipe management. This ensures that players will be presented with immediate and clear insights by simply placing their cursor over any object.
The Pricing Survey is Live! 🎉
The Pricing Survey is one feature we are all excited about, as it provides an unparalleled understanding of customer pricing behaviour within the game. It is now fully operational, offering insights into how various customers will perceive different price points.
With this tool, players will be able to set competitive prices by making data-driven pricing decisions.
Localization Efforts 🌍
As part of our ongoing commitment to make the game globally accessible, we have made significant strides in our localization efforts. This latest phase focused on the meticulous translation and cultural adaptation of district hover menus, worker narratives, and all elements related to vehicle upgrades.
Particularly challenging yet rewarding was the localization of workers' names and stories, which required careful consideration not only of language but also of cultural nuances. This process assures that the game resonates with diverse players, preserving the original wealth of the narrative across different languages and facilitating a deeper connection with the global gaming community.
Spotlight on the Ordering Section ✨
The Ordering section got some more love and attention this month. It now sports new visual effects (VFX) and improved component alignment for a more visually engaging presentation.
Our goal is to enrich the overall interaction with the game, ensuring that even routine tasks provide a sense of satisfaction and engagement.
Bug Fixes 🐞
Finally, we have addressed several bugs plaguing the current version of the game. Some include:
- Rectification of the weather dropdown to guarantee accurate representation of daily weather changes.
- Resolution of performance issues previously impacting the Worker screen.
- Several fixes in our localization system.
