Hello, fellow entrepreneurs! 🤗⭐
We are not releasing a new update today, as many of the changes and additions below require thorough testing. A small number of fixes and quality improvements have been applied in the game and will come out next week, and we've also made big progress on Achievements, which led to cloud saves being activated.
Highlights
There are only 100 achievements which we were able to add due to current Steam limits; Steam still treats this game as a 'fake game'. Therefore, we cannot go above 100 at the moment. Cloud saving is now enabled for achievement progress to sync across devices.
We implemented some minor balancing this week, such as marketing cost was reduced by 50% to make early promotion more accessible and to prepare for AI competition. Additionally, we increased the vehicle upgrade capacity. Every vehicle gained one extra upgrade slot.
Cold storage upgrade was streamlined. Now you can upgrade directly to the next tier; no need to buy an extra storage and sell the old one as previously required.
New features and improvements
Research UI now shows progress on tier titles and on each category header, so players do not get stuck if they miss a research in a tier.
In the News section, the missing "Okay" button that was supposed to appear to acknowledge the event is now back, giving you enough time to read. Sorry, that was missed last time. And now the auto-advance option is available for those who prefer it.
Other Fixes
Input fallback was added to reset held-keys when a key-release is missed. According to a community bug report: ordering is always changing by 5x. This aims to resolve that odd behaviour.
Cash event bug fixed: A "last 7-day" protection was not blocking all cash events from repeating within a 7-day period. This was fixed. Now, within seven in-game days, only one cash event can occur, as intended.
Cold storage capacity duplication on vehicle upgrade fixed. Thanks to the community report.
UI shake regression cleaned up. Repeated shakes no longer shift the UI out of place. Thanks to the community report.
Expiring ingredients label now updates correctly between day and night. No more confusion on the expiring ingredients. Thanks to the community report.
Goal Completed text and VFX formatting fixed to make the text legible on both light and dark modes.
Achievements sneak peek:
That is it for this week. As always, your reports help us tune the balance and find edge cases. Keep them coming.
