Since the demo release last year, we’ve doubled down on your feedback and worked on several improvements that you will certainly love. With a lot of coffee ☕ and sweets 🍬🍫🧁, we manage to achieve the following:
Full‑screen environment 💻
You can now collapse the left‑hand menu for an immersive view of your food truck empire.
This feature provides a full, uninterrupted view of the environment, enabling better immersion and easier analysis of your performance. Monitor foot traffic and strategise more effectively.
New detailed tutorial 📃
We've completely reimagined the tutorial to offer clearer, more intuitive guidance through Street Grub's rich gameplay mechanics. The tutorial is now separate from the other game modes, as some of you might not want to go through a tutorial.
The new onboarding experience carefully guides you step-by-step, ensuring no vital detail is missed. Enhanced interactivity, improved visual prompts, clearer explanations, and engaging narrative context significantly improve your understanding and help new entrepreneurs hit the ground running.
Massive optimisation 🥸
We have no images for that, but just picture 3 GB going down to 800 MB 😱. We completed an extensive technical improvement, resulting in a dramatic optimisation of the game. Street Grub’s file size is now approximately 4X smaller, considerably reducing download time and storage usage. This lengthy process also boosted game stability, reduced load times, and significantly enhanced overall performance on low-end PCs & Macs. Players will experience smoother gameplay, faster transitions, and fewer disruptions, allowing more time to focus on business strategy.
UX and polish upgrades 🤩
Not liquid glass level polish, but good enough. Your feedback from the demo was instrumental in guiding us to significantly enhance the user experience. We’ve polished the interface, improving clarity and ease of use, particularly in crucial sections such as the research tree, inventory management, and financial overview panels. UI elements are now more intuitive, interactions are smoother, tooltips are clearer, and overall navigation feels more coherent and responsive, providing a polished experience.
Mac release 🍎
Street Grub's journey to macOS was torturous but essential. After considerable development and rigorous testing, we are happy to announce that a native Mac build will be available. Mac users can finally experience the full range of gameplay smoothly and seamlessly, making Street Grub accessible to a wider audience without compromising on performance or quality.
Globalisation 🌐
The game is now able to be localised across multiple languages, including comprehensive support for right-to-left scripts. This globalisation effort ensures players worldwide can enjoy Street Grub comfortably in their native language, improving immersion, accessibility, and overall enjoyment.

Hundreds of 🐞 squashed, including:
Sandbox random‑event consistency
Goal trigger accuracy and UI bugs (training, sell‑burger, sell‑drink, profit‑margin goals)
Research tooltips and customer segment research alignment
Stand title resizing glitches
Game behaviour when paused
Compatibility for menu upgrade research inspections
Accounting inconsistencies for the accountant gamers out there.

Goals & Research
We added new goals, which will come through the career mode (employee training, sell burgers without wait, profit margin and drink-related goals) and revamped goal‑tracking logic. The research tree now supports all six customer segments, proper tooltips, and fixes for null SFX and localised voiceovers.
UI clickables & tooltips
All tabs, buttons, sliders, graphs, and menus now include consistent clickables and hover tooltips.
Career/Sandbox stability
Fixed save‑load inconsistencies like stand loading, tutorial triggers, music behaviour, and viewport state retention.
Audio & UX flow
Rewrote music shuffle & mood logic; restored tutorial sound effects; improved feedback highlighting and interactive cursors.
