We've received several reports of game-breaking bugs, which after investigation was triggered because of the use of external tools.
While we won't stop anyone using these, working on bugs because of this isn't what we should do to better the experience of the game.
From now on, before you report a bug, please let us know if you're using any of the external tools. We appreciate your cooperation.
On another note, to make sure future updates would be easier for both us and the players, we are currently considering giving up the compression and encryption of the game. This change will be implemented in the near future.
We understand this comes with the risk of having the files out in the open for specific purposes. However unfortunately we just don't have the programming skills to cover our concerns. In the end of the day, players having fun without issues is what we desire the most.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us testing the update mechanic for the past 2 days.
We will keep on updating the game, fixing bugs, tweaking systems, and probably the most important for some of you out there, FINALLY implementing Steam's cloud save function, so please stay tuned.
Once again, thank you for supporting and enjoying Cursed Blacksmith.
