The long-awaited update for Superfly is here, bringing a giant robot worm boss fight, a new superpower, and Steam achievements! You have to defeat the boss to unlock the new superpower – fight it at the giant red beacon of light.
The boss is a giant mechanical worm! It's made of a bunch of linked segments, and each segment has its own health bar. Despite the worm's size, it's still fully-physics based, so you can knock it around with your powers or even hold it in place. Once you beat the boss, you unlock a new superpower, the black hole mode! With this mode, you can throw black holes at the environment, then use the Trigger button to suck in everything nearby. If you suck yourself towards the black hole and release at the right time, you go flying forwards!
We're currently working on some minor tweaks to this new content: adding boss music, improving performance, and so on. If the boss fight and new superpower are popular, we’ll add more in the coming weeks, so let us know what you think!
Changelog:
- New giant boss enemy - a mechanical worm as large as a skyscraper!
- New movement mode where you fly by throwing black holes, defeat the boss to unlock it!
- New Steam achievements, unlocked by flying around and destroying enemies
- Removed winter holiday graphics
