Today we're showing you the first WIP images of an ancient, legendary creature:
Ahuizotl, the Thorny One of the Water
The Ahuizotl is often represented as a lethal creature with spiky fur: it resembles a dog with a slick body and pointed ears, but in place of canine paws, the Ahuizotl has hands and feet like a monkey's.
This creature is believed to have haunted many fishermen's sleep.
It would use its long, prehensile tail to grab its unsuspecting victims to pull them under the water. It would hold them there, until they drowned. The Ahuizotl would then feast on its prey's eyes, nails and teeth, leaving the rest of the body floating in the water.
