Greetings Tricksters!
With this update we have brought a lot of the extra information from the Tab Leaderboard onto the TV rankings shown at the end of each round. Most notably when playing in Co-Op Vs Boss, individual scores are now also shown during the TV rankings. With this update we have also increased the total number of vetoes when selecting categories and as our question count grows we hope to let you drop it even more!
Here's the full patch notes for Trivia Tricks version 0.8.18.1
New TV Leaderboard
- The mid-round TV leaderboard has been updated with a whole new design
- During Co-Op Vs Boss games you'll be able to see individual player scores as well as your combined total.
- You’ll also find Steam avatars next to your names!
Other Additions
- Thanks to the increase in our number of questions, the category veto count has now been increased! Now Standard Trivia can be played with only 5 categories!
- Modern Trivia is now the default category selection, which means the 'Video Games' category is now turned on by default
- Selecting Classic Trivia now vetoes the 'Math' category (Alongside 'Anime' and 'Video Games')
- The TV screen now specifies how many questions are in the current round
- Players that have been kicked from a lobby can no longer rejoin that lobby
- In settings, the ‘resolution’ option is now deactivated if ‘Fullscreen’ is enabled. This is to stop players being misled as Trivia Tricks' resolution is fixed to the resolution of your monitor whenever the window is set to 'Fullscreen'.
- Additional security improvements to the implementation of room codes in private lobbies
Question Database Update
- Added nearly 25 additional questions, the majority suggested by our Discord community! Thank you to everyone who has suggested questions so far!
- Fixed some typos and cleaned up the wording on a variety of questions. Thanks to all of you who took the time to report these to us directly!
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the recommended rules weren't being applied on lobby creation. Streaks are enabled by default again and the timer has been set back to 20 seconds instead of 15
- Fixed a bug where players who joined a game which was already in progress could not see the room code until the end of that game
- Fixed a bug where full private lobbies would appear in the Server Menu
- Fixed a bug where controllers wouldn't be recognised if they were first connected after a game of Trivia had been played
- Fixed a bug where failing to join a game due to it being full would incorrectly state they could not join as "the game had already started"
- Fixed a bug where controllers could not see the room code from the Pause Menu if the game had not started
- Fixed a bug where holding right trigger in the lobby and pausing the game would allow you to keep the room code visible or invisible at all times.
- Fixed a bug where it was possible to click a non-existent, invisible category
- Fixed a bug where the client could see an incorrect amount of remaining vetoes while on the Categories Menu in Standard Trivia.
- Fixed a bug where the client could see an incorrect amount of remaining vetoes while on the Categories Menu if the Boss was changed while the menu was open.
- Fixed a bug where, if a client had the Categories Menu open when the host changes the boss, then the Boss' name did not update on the Categories Menu.
- Fixed a bug where notification boxes did not respect the player's aspect ratio.
Our next update has some new challengers on the way to really test your Trivia skills. These three new bosses will see our first Early Access milestone 'Co-Op' completed! I wonder who they are...
