Hey Valley Villagers!
Are you ready to get in touch with your emotions? Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest free update, Emotional Rescue, arrives today on all platforms!
Step into the shoes of a Mind Worker, embark on an inspirational journey with a couple of memorable new Villagers, set off on a Star Path oozing with Nostalgia, and dig into groovy new upgrades!
Motivate inspiration
With a new door appearing in the Dream Castle, you’ll need to repair a special memory orb to open it and cross over into...
The Headquarters from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out! Riley has an upcoming school talent show and it’s up to you to help Joy and Sadness inspire her! Work together to find memories and create dreams that will encourage Riley to put on a great performance.
First, you’ll meet Joy, who will need a hand with the emotional control console, and then Sadness, who has taken a literal walk down memory lane.
Lights, camera, emote!
Once you have the emotional rescuers together, you’ll need to brainstorm and put motivational dreams into production on the Dream Productions backlot!
Once you’ve successfully ignited Riley’s imagination, you’ll be able to set up Joy and Sadness’ remote HQ and welcome them into your Valley!
Turn that Valley frown upside down
With the feelings now out and about in the Valley, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Help Joy solve the Valley’s mood swings and explore the possibility of an ‘Imagination Land’. Then, help Sadness fix a ‘rainy day’ and connect with your sensitive side. Together, explore hidden “crying clouds” and follow a soft, tearful trail that leads to something unexpectedly healing.
A cozy place to be
But that’s not all – the Valley’s busy energy can be overwhelming for Sadness. She needs a quiet, special place to just be.
Help build this peaceful sanctuary, which may stir old memories and doubts, but with care and kindness, you’ll share a touching moment reminding us all that it’s okay to feel down sometimes.
Retro Roadtrip Star Path
Craving more nostalgia? Why not take a heartfelt trip back in time with retro furniture, vintage summer fashions, and all the classic feels to warm your heart.
Plus, enjoy a cozy drive-in movie night, dance to jukebox tunes and unwind at the iconic Cozy Cone Motel with bonus rewards to sweeten your trip.
Companions
Need more companions? Now you’ll be able to have two companions around at the same time! Not to mention, you’ll also be able to assign certain companions to select Villagers! See our Patch Notes for details!
Speaking of companions, get ready to collect new adorable friends, like the playful Rock and Roll Fox that will add a splash of fun to your Valley adventures.
And there’s a little extra magic too, with Lucky, the charming pup from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians joining the Premium Shop.

Starting September 3rd, the Memory Mania Mini-Event returns to the Valley, giving you the chance to earn new rewards through September 16th!
