Good day fans of Mud and Blood and welcome to this new update.
This update took few more days than intended but adds a significant amount of new elements to our favourite brutality simulator. Notably a handful of German vehicles and guns. It also shapes the terrain in front of the player in a better fashion offering distinctive variance in the tactical scenarios.
One cool feature is that when a road is behind your squad it is considered "liberated" and allied vehicles can be seen driving on it. If they see enemies while crossing your AO, they will temporarily stop and help your squad.

0.1.4
- Enemy mines will be hidden now
- Fixed a crash when hitting AP mines
- Panics state will reset for soldiers after a retreat
- Reduced the occurrence of certain counter-attacks factors
- German anti-tank gun Pak 40 added to the game
- German legendary 88mm gun!
- German bikes which bring specialized soldiers to the front.
- The kubelwagon (German jeep equivalent)
- The Sdkfz (German half-track)
- Weapon crates spawn rate will be map dependent (more crates in certain scenarios)
- Modified the code to reduce the chances of bomb strikes falling off map
- Fixed some sound engine issues regarding vehicles on map load
- Added call vehicle functionality to German signallers
- Fixed an issue where dead passengers or crew members wouldn't drop on the ground when shot
- Fixed an issue where soldiers shot by coaxes would not be visible
- Coded functionalities for vehicles with body guns (such as Stug3)
- Gun crates when clicked will not prompt the soldier to move anymore
- Germans will not be able to put barbwires in your spawn area (Jerks)
- German AI will be way smarter about when to move or shoot.
- Moving Allied soldiers can spot enemies. I dropped the tunnel vision.
- New terrain generation for ruined cities
- German gunners will prioritize firing more often especially when they have good targets
- Coded traffic for roads allied and Axis.
Terrain generation will need a fair amount of polish to be where I want it to be. However, this is very fun to play currently since the battlefield offers a neat variation between areas. Either the claustrophobic dark forests of Hürtgen or ruined landscapes of St-Lo.
Next, I would like next to finish the player ranking system and ribbons while adding few more units on each side. Also steam has released a playtest option for the creators which looks very promising. Maybe it would be worth exploring that option in the near future.
I hope you guys are staying safe out there and we will see you next week.
respectfully,
urb
