Hey everybody, it’s been a few weeks since Update 1.2 - Gambling & Debt dropped and we’ve had a great time hearing your stories about how you’ve been squeezing debtors and leveraging gambling houses to your advantage!
We’ve got another update for you today and this time we’re focusing on adding some new details that help improve the game’s overall atmosphere and ambiance.
Weather effects
We’ve created three weather states, snowy, rainy, and clear, each with their own individual particle effects. These will appear in-game occasionally, at random intervals, to add an extra level of detail to the game world.
The city that you’re playing in will also have an impact on how often you’ll see individual weather effects, so for example, snow will be more common in Chicago, but Atlantic City will get more rain and later onset of winter.
Finally, if you pull the camera back to its widest angle you’ll now see clouds passing by, which gives the city a much better sense of scale overall.
We’ve got one more update planned before the Christmas break, which will be ready in a couple of weeks - we’ll be back with another post then!
