Want to try Empyreal for yourself? Our Steam Next Fest demo is available right now.
Every Steam Next Fest is filled with hundreds of demos worth playing. Here at Silent Games, we’re just as keen as you are to play the highlights from this Next Fest (recommendations of other great demos are welcome in the comments and in our Discord), but we hope that Empyreal’s offering will be considered one of the most generous demos available in this event. It features character customisation, instant access to all three weapon classes and playstyles, a wide selection of playable levels, a combat training ground, and access to the game’s hub where you can meet Empyreal’s cast of characters.
It also boasts an exclusive feature: quick access to three different endgame gear sets, letting you sample a small subset of high-level weapons, equipment, and Abilities. These are typically reserved only for those approaching the game’s conclusion but can be equipped after completing the demo’s introductory Cartogram.
Unsure where to start? We’ve collected 5 Things to Know Before Playing to help you make the most of your time in the monolith. The blog covers picking a playstyle that best matches your combat preferences, some tips for overcoming the challenges you’ll face, and a look at Cartograms and how they’ll add randomised replayability to each level. We’ve also got a place for FAQs if you’re still left with questions.
Once you’ve had time to enjoy what the Empyreal demo has to offer, we’d love to hear about your experience. Empyreal is still a work in progress and your thoughts and feedback are vital as we wrap up development. Please do provide feedback to us via this handy form.
And if you find a bug or similar issue, please let us know: we’ve also got a form for that.
