New prestige class: VIKING!
The Viking is a prestige class for the warrior. That means it starts with the same-ish basic abilities, but with a twist.
Right now, the Viking is only playable in Challenge Mode (with this patch, renamed into Roguelike mode). When we release chapter 2, we will make it available for the Campaign mode. You'll find it it selectable when you pick the Warrior-archetype, after clicking the portal.
The Viking has a different backstory deck and sometimes other inspiration cards, and starts with other weapons and inspirations. All of this makes it play very differently from it's base class.
For the Viking, it's charge ability works diagonally. It can spread water, has a dangerous way of stacking damage, and can easily generate glod.
It also turns your character into a boat now and then!
The Viking starts with a Storm Hammer and a Shield, and instead of having the Bash and Cleave inspirations, it has Lightning Rod and There and Back Again.
The Viking will cost 775, or 200 if you already have the Shield and Storm Hammer unlocked.
New Backstory cards:
Raiding Party
Increases range by 1, spread water where you travel.
[Replaces Ignition]
Mead Fueled Frenzy
Take 5 damage, gain + 1 damage.
[Replaces Violence]
Pillage
Gain 1 gold per Round Strike target.
The following backstory cards will also be available for the warrior:
Onward!
Become invulnerable after using charge.
Ready or Not
When you jump, Roundstrike where you land. This will trigger any related backstories and inspirations.
New Inspiration cards:
There and Back Again
On charge, charge back again!
Other changes and fixes:
Warrior Charge had a bug where you could end up "inside" an enemy. This has been fixed, and enemies now always get thrown away from the character landing spot.
Renamed Challenge mode to Roguelike mode.
Various minor fixes.
