Hello detective,
It’s Thursday, you probably don’t have much more than that whiskey glass to brighten up the spirits and the butt of the last cigarette, so we came up with an idea… Call us softies, but we decided to share with you a little something or other to animate that evening which is promising to look like all the others, keeping company to those last smoke rings…
This is a little speedpainting vídeo born from the hands and creativity of Daniel Faiad, our Art Director and Lead Animator. It’s somber, it’s dramatic, it’s noir. That’s good enough for us.
Naturally, it doesn’t quite depict the scathing humor (and not always effective) that our game also presents, but it nicely condenses the atmosphere of a failed Las Vegas that allowed itself to fuse with a rough Chicago of the post-prohibition era.
The soundscape that helps paint those pieces of Daniel has Coltrane and Miles Davis as protagonists, two musicians that were pivotal in influencing Pecaminosa’s soundtrack. Yes, you can count with wandering jazz that rejected borders and had as starting points soundtracks like Les Liaison Dangereuses (Art Blakey), Ascenseur pour l'échafaud (Miles Davis) and Touch of Evil (Henry Mancini).

About the Game
