There are reports of the Animaze Virtual Camera rendering at very low FPS (~1 FPS). The low FPS is mainly due to the "offline" splash screen (when Animaze is not broadcasting).
What happens under the hood is Animaze dynamically sets the refresh rate (e.g., 1 FPS for the offline splash screen, 30 FPS in normal scenarios, and 60 FPS for Plus & VIP subscribers). However, the applications that use the Animaze virtual camera don’t dynamically refresh to change the FPS. So, with this update, we set the offline splash screen FPS to 30, but need everyone with this issue post-update to follow these steps:
Go to the program where you are using the Animaze virtual camera (e.g., OBS, Discord, Zoom)
Go to settings in that program
Close or disable the camera
Reopen or enable the camera using Animaze Virtual camera
As is always the case, if you encounter any issues please let us know on our Discord server: https://animaze.tv/discord or via our support email: support[at]animaze.us.
