Happy update day, folks!
Live2D avatar users, this one's for you! We’re super excited to present some new features that will make your streaming experiences with Live2D avatars even more amazing. Buckle up, update and get ready for the following:
- Live2D props support: Customize your Live2D avatar with props! We preloaded some prop options to get you started. Or, you can import your own directly through the Animaze App. Supported file types are png files and other Live2D models (.model3.json files). Find all about it in the dedicated document here.
- Live2D extended parameters: We’ve teamed with Live2D to introduce a new optional Animation Parameter Standard for Live2D avatars. The new standard aims to improve the expressivity of Live2D avatars and map key tracking inputs otherwise only available for 3D avatars. Enhanced tracking inputs include:
- Puckered lips
- Asymmetric smiles and mouth movement
- New audio-based-lip-sync mappings
To get started, take a look at the Overrides Guide here and the Live2D Model Requirements & Animation Standards here. A sample avatar (.avatar file, Live2D runtimes, and Live2D sources) using the extended parameters can be found here .
Watch video on YouTube (opens in a new tab) - Hand tracking support for Live2D avatars: Get ready for some epic waves! Use the Tracking Overrides Guide to update your Live2D model to work with the Ultraleap Leap Motion controller.
Find the Overrides Guide here, the List of Motion Output Parameters here and a step by step guide here. - Selectable Idles: You can now choose the Live2D idle animation that best suits your avatar.
- Changes to the Free Subscription Tier: We’ve added the following items to the free subscription tier:
- Unlimited virtual camera time - Use the virtual camera without interruption. Gather your snacks and water; that marathon you’ve been dreaming of is now possible.
- All advanced configurations - For those struggling with eye-tracking and glasses, unlock the power of auto blink in overrides. Adjust the filtering values of the webcam tracker. Once your configurations are perfect, you can save them forever (ever, ever, ever).
