Hi Everyone!
Looks like people are really enjoying the 2.5D conversion so thanks for reading that last post and giving us the push we needed to move the game in such a cool direction :)
You’ll be pleased to hear that we've locked in our final code and are just hunting down the last few bugs and adjusting the games 'feel'. Game feel can be notoriously hard to nail down but I think we have it figured out.
There are a range of little things that contribute to game feel such as player speed, tool usage, and even the clock. Time in the game was changed from a ticking clock to a constant day or night to make the game a relaxing and fun adventure. We thought it would be better to limit the player only with stamina, so you could stop and smell the roses and not feel any kind of time crunch while playing.
We've also added so much to the game that we think everyone will really enjoy. We've added fishing, decorating, and even a tournament at the rec centre where you can battle everyone in town! Fishing especially is my favourite activity and comes with a great microgame as you try to reel them in.
Thanks everyone - we'll keep you updated as we continue towards the game's release. It's been a blast working on it and we really hope you enjoy how everything has come together!
