Hey everyone, Ethan here providing a quick update on where we’re at with Beta 1.5 and the status of the new voice chat component.
First and foremost, voice chat was meant to be implemented shortly after the release of 1.4 and players have yet to see it in game. There have been some complications and I’m working hard to have it ready as soon as possible. I may go into further detail in a future update video and show the progress made so far. I apologize it’s taken longer than expected to rectify the bugs we’re experiencing I know a lot of you are really looking forward to talking in game.
On to Beta 1.5. Upon your first startup of the new update you will be greeted with an all new menu system, boasting new elements and features. The customization menu is also new from the ground up, each item labeled and pictured clearly, navigation is smooth, buttons are animated and the player model has 3 different camera angles so you can check out your newly earned gear up close….yes you heard that right, earned.
A progression system has been implemented with stats being tracked and a post match report showing your performance/progress after each game completed.
Some visual elements of the game have also been updated. Owen has tweaked/reworked some of the textures for some gear items. More color ways have been added and we have some new gear in the works. Additionally we’ve been experimenting with different lighting to improve visibility and graphical fidelity when you’re on the field.
That covers the primary changes made so far in 1.5, we are continuing make additions and refinements to this update so it’s an overall great experience for everyone upon release. I don’t have a solid ETA just yet. We’re working hard to get 1.5 wrapped up and out the door to the public, stay tuned for further updates and info.
Thank you all for following our ongoing journey, there’s much more to come of Infinite!
