Hi peeps! Today we are going to introduce you to the other regions where our partner One Tree Planted is supporting tree planting projects. Let’s check out Latin America, Africa and the Pacificːsteamhappyː.
- In Latin America One Tree Planted supports projects in the Amazon Rainforest, the Andes, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Haití, Honduras, México and Perú. The focus lies on rebuilding forests and restoring land to improve the health of tropical forests. Moreover, they support the communities to improve forest management practices and agricultural techniques like agroforestry.
- The projects in Africa are focussing on rebuilding animal habitat and restoring soil and critical watersheds. These actions also help to improve the lives of the communities as they rely on the forests. The different projects are located in Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
- In The Pacific region, One Tree Planted supports different projects in Australia and across New Zealand. The focus is on supporting reforestation in the Pacific by restoring forests after the destruction by bushfires; regenerating critical habitat for wildlife like koalas and cockatoos; and safeguarding community watersheds through restoration of indigenous tree species.
Thank you all for participating in our voting and supporting us in doing something good for our planet! Stay tuned for the next steps in our charity event and take care!
