Hey everyone,
With the arrival of October, Autumn is well and truly upon us. That means Halloween, cold nights and of course Oktoberfest. I have a lot to cover today, so let’s jump right into it.
The Road(map) to Oktoberfest

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is ‘when are you going to release the roadmap’, so here you all go! The above should give you some ideas and hints as to what is planned between now and the end of Early Access. And it all kicks off at the end of the month with Oktoberfest! As part of this update I’ll be adding in an Oktoberfest building as well as the ability to sell day tickets to your festival; another highly requested feature. I’ll share more on both as we approach the end of October!
In the meantime, I didn’t want to keep you waiting long… so how about an update today?
Surprise New Features, Halloween + Balancing
I just pushed the button and the following update has been rolled out to the game:
- New: It's now possible to un-book bands and sponsors.
- New: Privacy mode lets you remove all file paths on screen and make streaming a lot more comfortable.
- Fixed: The request of sponsors to have a band assigned now gives sponsor points.
- Fixed: Leaderboards show more ranks now if a player hasn't set a score for a certain board.
- Fixed: The game sometimes wouldn't start if the user wasn't using an administrator account.
- Optimized: Further improved the worker AI and added additional debug information to the logs.
- Optimized: A better visual representation of visitors looking for paths.
- UI: Fixed a couple of localization issues and spelling mistakes.
I’ve also added some 🎃 Halloween 🎃 themed decorations and items for your Festivals and you should keep an eye on your visitors, I’ve heard rumours there have been sightings of Ghosts attending festivals!!! 👻👻👻
Localisation Update:
Thank you to everyone who has come forward and offered to help with the localisation efforts via Localizor - it’s much appreciated. It’s been noted (quite a few times) that French is not included on Localizor, which is correct. I do indeed have plans to roll out French localisation, and this is coming soon. I cannot give an exact date, but I hope it will be in the next two months. I will keep you updated.
Here is where we are at with the other languages on Localizor so far:

If you would like to get involved, you can find out more by visiting https://www.localizor.com/festival-tycoon.
And that’s it from me today! Any questions, you know how to reach me :)
Once again, thank you! <3
Johannes.
