I must hide.
It's all because of the government. Or the corporations. I'm not even sure exactly. But some short-sighted fools refuse to acknowledge my genius and actively hinder my research. I have no choice, I must find a new place where I can conduct my experiments in peace.
My secret laboratory
I will miss my old lab a bit but it was about time I move anyway. My experiments require a lot of space after all and my previous accommodation just wouldn't cut it. Let's see, I need a place to mix my elixirs and mutagens, that's obvious. I will also need a storeroom for new ingredients, new equipment, and of course, some test subjects. Once I have bodies to experiment on and mutagens to use, I will need a secure room to conduct my experiments. And a place where I can plan my future actions... Hold up, this list is getting long, let's plan things out.
There we go! This layout should work. In order to keep up the appearance of a law-abiding citizen, I will prepare an atrium in section A. I could use an office anyway, I should be able to plan my next moves there.
I shall dedicate section B as my storeroom. It has plenty of power outlets, so I can keep my test subjects refrigerated. I think there are some body fridges at the abandoned hospital on the outskirts of the city. Maybe they still work.
Section C is where I will work on my concoctions and other projects that do not require a specimen. Using some scrap I had available, I was able to build a prototype of a new appendage incubation station. I should be able to use it to create stronger body parts with unique features. This will be a difficult and complicated process and I will detail it sometime later.
My most brilliant work will take place in section D, where I animate my beautiful creations! I will need some very advanced equipment for the final mutations. My retrofitted industrial laser will also need to fit in there, the same goes for some other bulky lab equipment I use. Yes, this will have to be a big, spacious room. I likely won't have enough space for the standard security measures but a genius like me won't need them anyway.
Yes, I think I have the basics covered. There is still some equipment I need to obtain and I should start moving my gear to a new spot. It is a shame that I must do so now, I despise such repetitive, obnoxious work. But science is a cruel mistress and I understand the necessity of preparations before proper experiments can commence.
