Welcome to the Steam page for Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition – a fully remastered version of developer Brainwash Gang’s nihilistic action-platformer, Nongunz. In addition to the full, original Nongunz, which has been completely rebuilt in Unity, the Doppelganger Edition features two all-new modes: 'Arena' and local co-op.
Watch the Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition trailer:
The game is launching on Steam (and Switch, PS4, and Xbox One) in Q3, but you won’t have to wait that long to give it a try! A demo will be going live as part of the Steam Game Festival, which runs from 16th - 22nd June, and will be available to download from the Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition Store page.
In addition to the demo, there is also going to be a closed beta. Stay tuned for the beta...
If you’re not familiar with Nongunz, here’s a bit of background info: the original launched on PC in 2017, but after the game’s publisher at the time – Sindiecate – vanished without a trace, the future for Nongunz looked precarious. Following a chance encounter with Brainwash Gang at 35,000 feet (they were on the same flight), Digerati jumped at the chance to pick up the rights to Nongunz, and Brainwash Gang started work on the Doppelganger Edition.
Don’t forget to add Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition to your Wishlist and give the game a ‘Follow’, which means you'll be alerted when the demo goes live, and can stay updated on its development and launch later this year.
Thanks for your support and we look forward to you playing Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition in the very near future!
