This coming September 25th, will be released in version 0.5.0!
- New Features
As announced at the time of the 0.4.0 release, nine neighbor stores will be available in the 0.5.0 patch. Visit 9 neighbor stores on your way to work, including a repair shop and a flower shop!
In addition, the overall economic system has been refined for more challenging gameplay.
- Quests are given to motivate them to raise money.
- Improve product prices and card effectiveness with smooth gameplay.
The economic system will continue to improve until the official launch.
- Version 0.6.0 Preview: Full Story Open & 'Reputation' Cards
Version 0.6.0 will be the last version to be released before the official launch. With it, we'd like to open the whole story and add our new concept of 'Reputation'. Also, it will reveal all the functional areas except for visual improvements.
- 'Reputation' Cards?
Every choice you make affects your overall gameplay. But with just qualitative feedbacks—which used to be our primary way, it's hard for the player to feel the change. And we thought it is hard to be called a good game design when it forces players to experience the change of gameplay with harsh, merciless feedback. Instead, we've decided to choose a more direct and explicit way.
So, from now on, all of the things that were "appraised" and "recommended" by Darcy's will be tagged with cards called [Appraised by Darcy's] or [Recommended by Darcy's]. The effect of each card will be minimal at the start, but it will get stronger depending on the player's effort. For example, if the player continues to recommend good things, the card [Recommended by Darcy's] will soon work as a strong appeal to the customer.
We are hoping this will ultimately make players enjoy the feeling of growing their stores.
The 0.6.0 version was originally planned to be released within September, but sadly it will be delayed from late September to mid-October. It is due to the delay in translation work, and the introduction of the new function we just mentioned. However, we'd like to let you know we will do our best until the end to make a perfect game. Thank you!
