None of us expected the game to become such a success when we launched it, but Her New Memory was very popular and found a big fan base. Because of that, the game became much bigger than originally planned. We listened to your wishes and pushed out a lot of content.
With that in mind, the initial price of $4.99 became irrelevant. The game is packed with so much content that players who find it in the store cannot fathom the size and duration of the game because of it's price. As we approached the end of Early Access, the game also began to receive more and more feedback from players that the price is unreasonably low and surprised many when buying.
The availability of our games has always been extremely important for us and we would never resort to raising the price solely out of greed, but the price should be an indicative of how much content the player will receive upon purchase. So we decided to listen to the suggestion of some players to raise the price after the final release, polling the audience in Discord and asking them to set the game at a fair price. Some of you were even generous enough as to say we should publish it for $50!
However, we decided not to go that far and stick with the $9.99 price tag, we will also be giving players the opportunity to further support the developers by purchasing the DLC after its release.
The new price will be set after the game leaves the Early Access stage, until then you still have the opportunity to purchase it at it's original price.
