After the release of the teaser with the official name of our game, we received a lot of messages from the natives of Borneo, who were afraid that our project would communicate a distorted reality of their beautiful country. So, after expressing our reasons and thoughts in our blog, we decided to publish a version of the trailer with a disclaimer explaining a few things.
TRAILER
As challenging as it was to process the massive number of messages we received, work on BORNEO: A Jungle Nightmare continued as planned.
As mentioned before, in BORNEO: A Jungle Nightmare we will have to reconstruct the events that took place during the expedition in Borneo.
To do so, we'll have to relive the memories of the characters we interact with.
Conversing with them, in fact, will start the narration of their memories, which the players will live and play in first person.
In the last Devlog, we left off with a question about how to use the tools in Pierce's studio, such as the notebook, the computer or the characters.
With today's devlog we see the first two elements, trying to understand in general terms and without spoiling too much of the plot of the game, what they are used for.

THE NOTEBOOK
The notebook is the element that allows keeping track of all the important events of the game's history. Its pages summarise all the important information you have acquired during your adventure in the game.

This information relates to the memories we will play and will allow us to access them at a later time as well. Moreover, in the notebook are also present the Collectibles that we will retrieve during the adventure.
THE PC
By interacting with the computer, the desktop will be displayed.

From here you can consult all the multimedia materials obtained before the conversation with the characters, such as video, photos or texts.
You can also access other icons on the desktop, such as the email client: during the story, we will receive emails that will allow us to play new scenes in which we will discover more details and information about the plot of BORNEO: A Jungle Nightmare.
MAKING OF A CHARACTER
Last but not least, we leave you with a little goodie regarding the Making Of of one of the characters in the game.

What do you think of this awesome work by SoloMacello?
Well, that's all for this week. See you at the next Devlog with more interesting news about the game!
