Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare is a 2D graphic adventure with strong horror hues whose screenplay was developed and written by the famous director Ruggero Deodato. Masterfully illustrated by the artist Solo Macello, the game is a breathtaking thriller, which will talk about prejudice and ignorance spreading in the Western world.
After a break, we are ready to tell you more about our game. So get comfortable and enjoy Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare.
From Deodato's Cannibal to Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare, via Inferno in Diretta
Many have asked us why we decided to change the name of our game from Deodato's Cannibal to the official Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare.
The reason is simple: Borneo is an original episode of the saga.
It is not a remake of the first movie, but a real new episode of the movie series about cannibals.
The initial name created a bit of confusion in this sense, so it is for these reasons that we thought it was appropriate to change it.
Once the new title had been established we started working on the graphics of the logo, which now looks like this

The logo with the scrutinizing eye is a tribute to the poster of another famous film by Ruggero Deodato: Inferno in Diretta, from which we take the typical porthole of the camera.

Pierce's office
To finish this first Devlog in style, we want to talk about one of the most important areas you will encounter in the game: Pierce's office.

In Borneo: At Jungle Nightmare, the objective will be to reconstruct what happened during the expedition to Borneo, during the search for the videotape in which authentic acts of cannibalism seems to have been recorded.
To do this, we will be able to interact with the characters in front of us, consult the computer at our site and view the notepad in front of us.

All three types of interaction will allow us to collect the information needed to reach the end of the adventure and, depending on the amount of information collected, discover one or both the available endings. Both the characters, the computer and the notepad are essential tools and will be used very often throughout the game.
But to find out specifically how they will be played, see you at the next Devlog!
