Greetings, Pilots-
Today we’re not only revealing the details of our next costume event, but happy to announce we’ve implemented a hotfix to address a persistent issue in Volta-X where players were still unable to earn points in Events when fighting against AI if their ranking was too high.
With that adjustment now made, players should have no issue enjoying our next limited run event this weekend, which will offer you a chance to earn a bespoke suit for our bespectacled terrapin, Victor.
Running from 10/3 at 12PM PDT through 10/4 12PM PDT, you’ll be able to battle it out with your fellow Volta pilots in a 24-hour leaderboard challenge event. Those of you who finish in the top spots will earn a finely tailored look for Victor, along with some credits. Those who finish outside the top slots will have a chance to earn additional credits, along with some incredibly valuable resources.
- Tier 1 Winners: Victor Costume, 80 Credits
- Tier 2 Winners: Mainframe (x1), Jet Fuel (x2), 60 Credits
- Tier 3 Winners: Jet Fuel (x2), 40 Credits
- Tier 4 Winners: Liquid Nitrogen (x4), 20 Credits
Pilots who participated in the past weekend events will notice fewer players can qualify to win the top prize costume this week. While that is true, we’ve also improved the prizes at all other tiers, giving out more resources or Credits to players who miss out on the Tier 1 rewards.
While we welcome pilots of all skill levels, we’re adding a little challenge to the mix by restricting participants from using the following equipment for this event: the Pilebunker, the Radar, and the Electric Bolt. Without this equipment, you’ll be tested by your opponents, but they’ll also be at the same disadvantages. Think quick and adapt to overcome the odds.
The WVA will continue to host events like this in the future, so don’t think this weekend will be your only chance to emerge victorious. Good luck to all who enter, and try not to let your other crew members get jealous of Victor’s new suit if you win.
