Greetings Pilots!
In the rest of this article, we bring you the key highlights from the new update along with a full list of changes.
Abandoned Factory Remastered
We are proud to announce that, after 3 years, our most popular map is getting a fresh, yet familiar, new look. We've dedicated time to an extensive overhaul that will elevate your flight experience.
Key highlights include:
- New underground sewer tunnels, specially designed for whoop drones, offering tight, technical spaces for precision flying.
- Expanded scenery with more greenery and variety in the surroundings for a richer, more immersive environment.
- Rework of the main building and its immediate surroundings to enhance detail and flow.
- New props added to enhance the map's backdrop and create a more dynamic flying space.
- and don’t worry, the map remains completely free! No need to break the bank for this adventure!
Physics Improvements & Auto-arm option
Over the past few months, we've focused most of our efforts on developing and upgrading our in-house physics engine. In this update, we're rolling out tweaks to the whoop physics, which reflect the progress we've made in enhancing the overall flight realism.
Since we want to keep you updated on our ongoing physics improvements, we’re preparing a detailed article about our physics engine and future plans, set to release in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on what's next!
In addition to core physics changes, we’re improving the user experience with the introduction of a new Auto-Arm mode, aimed at making FPV flying more accessible to newcomers. In Auto-Arm mode, your drone arms automatically when the throttle is set to 0%, eliminating the need to press a physical button. For those who prefer manual control, this option can be switched off in the drone settings, returning the arming and disarming function to your calibrated button. All drones are now disarmed by default upon takeoff, adding a layer of safety.
More Challenges
Our ongoing commitment to enhancing the arcade aspect of the simulator has led to the addition of EIGHT new challenges! These challenges will help you sharpen your skills while earning flight points to unlock pilot ranks.
The new challenges include:
- Three challenges on the Winter Wonderland map
- Three challenges on the Abandoned Factory map
- Two challenges on the Construction Site map
All of the challenges listed are available for regular drone type for free!
