In this update we have changed the way you call in infantry. No longer do you place a beacon and get restricted to a single deployment area, you now can build and switch between multiple Drop Beacons. These are now constructed by your engineer. They can be activated either by interacting with them, or via the Overview Map Beacon Menu. Activating a beacon will mean that any troops called in will be dropped to that Beacon.
This should cause a shift in gameplay where re-enforcing outposts now becomes a lot easier, along with remote management. We hope this change increases the survivability of expansions where the player is unable to be present.
In Assault this change will impact the rate at which players can push up through the map, since they will be re-enforcing from their closest Drop Beacon. Taking Engineers with your pushes will be very beneficial to establish small outposts to re-enforce at the front lines.
Along with this beacon change we have also introduced the Player Stats Menu. With this patch comes the tracking of played matches where your best scores for maps and locations are tracked. Along with stat tracking comes Elite Unlocks, the first of which is an elite helmet. We will be adding more unlocks which are linked to the stats area in future updates.
