New Strike Drones have been added which allow you to order a Drone Strike on a location, where your army of aerial fighters will take to the sky’s and cleanse all below them. Strike Drones can be used defensively to protect area’s or aggressively to assault defended locations. Attacking from the sky with a variety of different weapon loadouts allows them to break even the most dug in enemies. Be careful though as Anti-Air turrets will target the Strike Drones so taking out the AA when attacking is very important for Strike Drone heavy play.
You build Strike Drone Platforms on modular bases where you can then have 1 active Strike Drone per platform. You give orders to the Strike Drones via the Radial Wheel Menu when no other unit or facility is selected. A count of current active drones is shown near your current Resources and Power.
We have also added a new Laser class weapon, along with small changes to the IFAF Drone Soldier Drone. This weapon can be equipped by both your Specialists and Riflemen. Be sure to give it a go in the firing range to see if it is something that you will like!
We hope you enjoy playing with the new Strike Drones and continue to support the Development of Cascading Failure.
