We're thrilled to announce that DEVOUR's brand new map The Inn is now available to play for free!
Check out the trailer here:
Experience the insidious, creeping terror of a Japanese guest house overrun with giant, demonic spiders. Work together to collect items, match symbols and cleanse the cursed spider eggs at 10 unique shrines. In The Inn, you can now hide from evil, as well as run from it, but make no mistake, a possessed Zara is not quite herself, and she WILL find you eventually...
We recently teased that we've been working on some exciting new gameplay elements (including an Arachnophobia Safe Mode for our newest map - see more below) and we're pleased to finally give you all the latest info.
Cult Ranks
DEVOUR now has a (much-requested) levelling system! You'll gain EXP every time you finish a game, which will contribute to increasing your Cult Rank. Every time you rank up, you'll collect one Ritual Token:
Every 8 ranks (up to rank 70), you'll also gain a new Title, which will appear above your player name in lobbies. Each Title comes with a unique badge and serves to highlight your prestige to fellow players, as well as your progress through the cult's order.
Awards
Convinced you carried your team to victory over DEVOUR's hordes of evil? Now you can prove it! At the end of every finished game, 4 awards are given out for particular kinds of player contributions, with bonus EXP associated with each:
- Slayer: Most enemies banished
- Medic: Most teammates revived
- Defender: Most staggers
- Survivor: Least knockouts
Perks
We're also excited to reveal the brand new Perks system. We know players have been looking for a way to customise the way they play DEVOUR, as well as new opportunities to strategise as a team. Perks are unlocked by spending Ritual Tokens and offer a variety of gameplay boosts. We're sure you'll find something to help you get even with Azazel's demonic spawn.
Acceleration: Movement speed increased by 20% for 20 seconds after being revived.
Crawler: Movement speed increased by 100% whilst knocked out.
Evader: Movement speed increased by 25% when pursued by Azazel.
Field Medic: Revive players 50% faster.
Fully Charged: UV charge is not consumed for 20 seconds after using a battery.
Long Sighted: All items are highlighted at 50% greater distance.
Quartermaster: Medkits are highlighted through walls.
Regeneration: UV charge regenerates 50% faster (does not work in Nightmare mode).
Speedy: Movement speed increased by 7%.
Supply Runner: Movement speed increased by 15% when carrying a ritual item.
Team Leader: Long interacts (including revive) are 100% faster when within 5 meters of any alive player.
Trapper: Last ritual item becomes highlighted.
Arachnophobia Safe Mode
For those really really not liking spiders, the Inn features an optional Safe Mode which completely changes their appearance. While we (really) like scaring people, we've also listened to community feedback and wanted to make this map accessible to people with this common phobia.
Cosmetics
Check out these deliciously fresh new outfits for April, Sam, Kai and Molly, which are now available for purchase in DEVOUR's in-game shop. You can also take a look at the Robes you'll be working to collect in The Inn.

Finally, a huge thank you to our amazing community of players - DEVOUR wouldn't exist without your support. We're committed to bringing you more spine-tingling content in the future, so keep checking back for brand new maps, demons, perks, unlockables and cosmetics.
We're already hard at work on the next map. After all, there's no rest for the wicked...
