Ahoy all fishermen,
A new update version: 1.6.837.9446 is now ready for download. This is a major update with new features, several improvements and fixes.
New start option
A new start option has been added, you can now select between Easy or Hard mode when starting a new game.
Easy mode, you will start with the fast No Yankee rigged for lobster fishing at 1st of April in the season, everything else will be as before.
Hard mode, you will start with Mikki rigged for harpooning at 1st of August, fish habitats and prices are reduced by 30%.
NOTE: You need to start a new game to use these features. Previous savegames will be set to Easy!
New steel wire lobster pot
We added a new steel wire lobster pot, this gives you 30% better yield than wooden pots. We also increased the yield on both wooden and steel pots. Snow crab pots have also got increased yield.
New licensepartner
We are happy to announce a new licensepartner ProNav. ProNav delivers products for navigation, communication and security to commercial vessels. You can get their radar as an upgrade for all the bigger boats in the game.
New bait
A new bait have been added to target Silver Hake with longlines.
Autopilot indicator
We added a indicator in the HUD, when the autopilot are enabled.
Habitat system
A reworked habitat system is also in place, making fish availability better over time. You can now see the health status of all the habitats available on the map in your logbook.
We added a new Habitat Extinction option, when enabled you will need to be more careful with fishing to much on each habitat, to much and its wiped out. Give habitats time to recover to keep them sustainable over time. Without this option enabled, habitat healths will never go below 25%.
Scallop habitats are now found around the map instead of everywhere. Each port will have a dedicated scallop habitat, just ask for some tips for location at the bar in ports.
NOTE: If you experience low habitat messages, please check your Logbook -> Habitats to see the health of the habitat you are fishing on. The number above the fishtip is the habitat number you see in your logbook.
Fish prices
We balanced the supply and demand for each port, this will help to reduce huge price drops and keep it more consistent over time, even when selling huge loads of fish.
Catch mackerel with nets
You will now be able to catch mackerel using nets.
Trawling at 100m depths
You are now able to trawl on depths at 100m instead of 200m.
