Hey crew!
One of the greatest parts of Space Station 14 is anyone can contribute. Whether that’s making your first sprite, learning about how the game is structured, or just changing a single number in YAML, it’s easy to make an impact of your own.
“But I don’t know how to code/sprite/design”, you might be thinking. It might surprise you: Some of the most experienced developers Space Station 14’s communities didn’t know anything when they started!
That’s why, in partnership with some of the amazing folks from Delta-V, we’re happy to share their series on how to make your own contributions to Space Station 14!

Twitch Stream here:
Starting on September 19, 2026 @ 11:30 AM PDT/18:30 UTC/8:30 PM CET, developers from the Delta-V community will be streaming beginner workshop sessions on Twitch, getting people educated and interested in how to make their own contributions!
Each session will go over a different aspect of how to contribute to the game, getting you set up and ready to make your first foray into working on Space Station 14. Missed a session? No worries! Not only are these sessions recorded, the community overall is happy to get you up to speed. If there’s a community you’re a part of, or a skill you’re trying to learn, chances are that someone in a SS14 community is happy to help you.
Huge thanks to the DeltaV team for making the time to teach new contributors. Space Station 14 is special because players can be a part of making the game they want to play, making cool and unique stories along the way.
