Shadowforge Update – Lasso Transform & Resize
A new Shadowforge update is here, bringing more control to the Freehand Lasso tool.
Selections can now be resized directly after being created, making it much easier to adjust artwork without having to redraw or recreate the selection.
New: Lasso Resize Handles
After creating a Freehand Lasso selection and entering edit mode, Shadowforge now displays transform handles around the selected area.
You will find handles on:
All 4 corners
Top and bottom center
Left and right center
Simply hold Left Mouse Button on one of the handles and drag to resize the selected artwork.
Corner handles let you resize in both directions at once, while the side handles let you adjust only the width or height.
How to use it
Create a selection using the Freehand Lasso.
Press ALT + E to enter the editable selection mode.
Move your mouse over one of the transform handles.
Hold Left Mouse Button and drag.
Resize the selected artwork until it fits the way you want.
Move the selection normally if you need to reposition it.
Press CTRL + T when you're ready to apply the selection.
You can still use:
ALT + E – Enter/edit the selected lasso
CTRL + T – Apply the selection
ALT + Q – Exit/cancel the lasso operation
Why this was added
Previously, if your lasso selection was slightly too large or too small, you often had to redo the selection.
Now you can simply adjust it.
This should make moving, reshaping and editing parts of sprites much faster—especially when working on animation frames, pixel art details and larger painted assets.
More improvements to Shadowforge's selection and image-editing tools are on the way.
Thank you to everyone testing Shadowforge and reporting bugs. Your feedback continues to shape the editor.
