Hi everyone!
The Polygon Team is back to give more details on the development of POLYGON!
Today we want to tell you about future changes in Polygon.
You will find an updated character model and animations, an improved progression system for weapons, soldier equipment, new weapons and modules, and, finally, different colors for enemies and allies.
All this and much more in the future major update 0.7.
Many thanks to TactiGamer for his help in announcing this update. You can watch this video to find out some details, as well as get a promo code to get VIP status for 7 days.
New character
In Update 0.7, we will completely update the character model. Polygon is moving forward and we need to improve the visual quality of the game by adding more details, as well as making the game more unique.
So, we present to you the new character, Derick:
We tried to keep the style of the game, while making the proportions of the character more realistic, and also add more details.
We are also preparing for soldier customization, so you can use different skins for solider's clothes.
We have also completely redesigned the character's skeleton and are working on remaking most of the animations.
We hope to compete with AAA games ːsteammockingː
Weapon progression system
In the current version of the game, to use a module (for example, the red dot sight), you need to get the required level and buy the module in the in-game store with Credits.
This will change in the 0.7 update.
Now you have to increase the level of your weapons to unlock new modules.
In the next updates, we will add more modules for each weapon, filling out the progression system, and providing more diversity to your playstyle!
The new progression system will be continuously improved.
New equipment
In a future update, players will have more control over their preferred playstyle.
Do you want to become super fast and take new positions on the battlefield with lightning speed?
Or do you want to be like iron man, absorbing an incredible amount of damage?
New equipment for your character will give you the choice.
Now you can equip different levels of armor on your soldier.
You'll be able to combine it in any way: a helmet and a heavy bulletproof vest or a light unloading vest? The choice is yours.
Each piece of equipment will have its own weight, which will directly affect the speed of your character, as well as the speed of some actions.
This way you can choose the best style of play for you.
The color of the equipment will be unique for each team. This color will not be possible to change with customization. This way you will be able to easily identify enemies.
