Dear students and concerned parents,
In the last issue of the Gravewood High PTA Newsletter, we detailed the improvements to the game's overhauled sound system. Today, we're going to look at another core aspect of the game: Mr. Hyde's vision.

Previously, the Teacher could not only hear through walls but also reveal his otherworldly nature by seeing through small objects. Creepy, we know. Players could hide in adjacent rooms to Mr. Hyde, but hiding under objects – like benches – was very difficult...
We have taken in your feedback and made the Teacher's vision more realistic and human-like (well, as human as he can be, given the circumstances). In fact, a lot more detection points are now used to determine your position. In the case of a face-to-face collision, Mr. Hyde will notice you within a second. If only some part of the player is visible (e.g. a leg sticking out from under a table), you'll have 2 to 3 seconds to change your position to better conceal yourself.

As in real life, vertical vision is now more limited – we look straight ahead and pay much less attention to what's happening above us. But not every change introduced is a drawback - player movement has been readjusted to make moving around high places and parkour-ing onto lockers more useful, which shifts the confrontation to the vertical plane.
Finally, we've added a hearing and vision indicator to the HUD! Now, you'll know when the Teacher is aware of your presence. Knowing exactly when to flee will save you from the clutches of this educational effigy of evil.
See you soon at the creepy school,
Gravewood High School Board
